Can we bring young children?

Absolutely. The Downstairs Wing is level and step-free from the front door to the lawn to the sand — made for prams and little legs. A high chair is available on request. Note that the shed is locked and beach toys are not provided; a two-person sea kayak and stand-up paddleboard are available, used at your own risk (no lifejackets are supplied).

How booking works

Exclusive use

Book the whole house, or just one floor — either way, no one else stays at the property during your visit.

Peak season

From 15 December to 15 January, only the whole house is available. The rest of the year, all three stays are open.

Minimum stay

Three to seven nights in peak season, two nights otherwise, depending on time of year.

Bookings open late August 2026. Register your interest and we'll be in touch as soon as dates are released.

Configuration 1

The Whole House

Both floors, opened up for the wider circle. Four bedrooms across two levels, three bathrooms, a long timber table that holds everyone at dinner. The back gate leads straight to the sand. Mornings run at their own pace — coffee on the upstairs deck, kids down the stairs and out the door. In the evening the whole house tips toward the ocean.

Bedrooms

Upstairs: king with ensuite; queen with a single bunk above (bunk suitable for one child aged 7–10). Downstairs: king; two singles (suitable for adults) with a trundle (suitable for one child); sofa bed in the living area sleeps two adults. High chair available on request.

Kitchen & dining

Two full kitchens. Upstairs — gas stove, oven, instant boiling and filtered tap, pod coffee machine, dishwasher, wine fridge. Downstairs — stove, oven, dishwasher, pod coffee machine. Each level with outside dinning with long tables and gas barbecues (upstairs + downstairs) and a gas pizza oven (downstairs) outside.

Comfort

Ducted air conditioning upstairs; ceiling and room fans downstairs. Gas heater downstairs for the cooler months. NBN wifi throughout.

Easy access

Level, step-free living downstairs from the front door to the lawn to the sand — prams, grandparents and sandy feet welcome.

Also yours

Full laundry (washer, dryer, basin, clothes line) on the ground floor (also accessible if you only take upstairs). The beach kit and outdoor shower, all included.

The Upstairs Retreat

The upper floor, taken on its own. Two bedrooms, an open living room facing the water, a deck that catches the morning light. Perfect for young families or couples who want the ocean without the noise. Read on the daybed, cook slow, watch the tide go out. The stairs stay locked; downstairs stays quiet.

The ground floor, level with the lawn. Two bedrooms, family bath, a living room that spills through wide doors onto grass and then sand. Prams stay outside. Wet towels go on the rail. There's a rock pool along the path. This is the room for families who came here to be outside.

Yes. The Gem is never shared. Whether you book the whole house or just one floor, no other guests stay at the property during your visit. The garden, laundry and beach access are yours alone.

The back gate opens straight onto the sand — no roads to cross. The ocean rock pool is a two-minute walk along the shore for easy, sheltered swimming.
